Littelfuse Broadband Optimized SIDACtor Protection Thyristors focus on addressing the performance and regulatory requirements of broadband equipment. The Broadband Optimized family, with its wide range of solutions, provides applications with the options needed to address the unique protection needs of DSL equipment (up to VDSL) as well as Ethernet (up to 1000baseT). Optimization is accomplished using proprietary and patented approaches that minimize the negative effects of device capacitance on broadband signals. SDP-T023G5RP SIDACtor Protection Thyristors

Littelfuse SDP-T023G5RP SIDACtor® Protection Thyristors are targeted for the tertiary or line driver side protection position for VDSL2+, ADSL2 applications, and general I/O protection functions. The component offers low capacitance overvoltage protection which does not require a bias voltage and is sufficiently robust for the chip-side position behind the coupling transformer. The SOT23-5 packaged component, with its flow-through design, minimizes PCB trace layout routing, while its four different stand-off voltage values offer compatibility with a variety of line drivers. The low capacitance makes it compatible with ADSL2, VDSL2, and the 30MHz bandplan of VDSL2+. The thyristors feature a lower overshooting protection than clamping, low insertion loss, and a robust surge rating. SDP—T023G5RP thyristors also offer bidirectional transient voltage protection and starts to switch in nanoseconds. The components are RoHS compliant, lead-free, and halogen-free.
