- The Texas Instruments TPS51217 single synchronous step-down controller for notebook power supply features a wide input voltage range (3V to 28V), wide output load range (0 to 20A+), D-CAP™ Mode with 100-ns load step response, and adaptive on time control architecture with fixed 340 kHz operation. The TI TPS51217 is suitable for low output voltage, high current, PC system power rail, and similar point-of-load power supply in digital consumer products. The TI TPS51217 step-down controller comes in a small package with minimal pin count to save board space and has a dedicated EN pin and pre-set frequency to minimize design effort.
